A little "Soldier Peep"...

"Peeps" are a great favorite this time of I thought I'd show you my 3-D version of a peep!

Here is my version of France Martin's 'punch art' bird.
I'll call him my 'little soldier peep' ...since he "safeguards" a Hershey Nugget.

I'd like to wish all our military men and women and their families, (past, present and future), a blessed and safe Easter!
Sending a special "Thank You!" to those serving overseas.

A special birthday...a special handmade card...

I wanted to personalize this card by emphasizing the day of the I started with a mini calendar I had laying on my desk...and created a card for it.   I really like how it turned out.  Simple, but colorful.
(Yes, it is a card for a guy...a very special person!)

Try creating your own card... featuring something you already have on hand?

The SU items I used on this card were Night of Navy and  Whisper White cardstock, Real Red satin ribbon with Sticky strip. For more texture, I used the  Square Lattice embossing folder on the white card stock, and ran it through my Big Shot.  I also used a small piece of Brushed Silver cardstock and some SU Cork sheets to create the mini 'corkboard' look.

(To read more details about each item on the item name, and a 'pop-up' window will  show a photo and detailed discription of that item.)

Have a blessed day!

'One picture is worth a thousand words'...

If you are like most people, you struggle with what to say to someone who's lost a loved one...or what to write in a 'Sympathy' card you send to them...even if their loved one was a Christain and ready to meet his "Maker"....

So, I got to thinking.  If 'one picture is worth a thousand words'...(as the old saying goes)...why not give them a CARD  that "says" what I'd like to...?     This is the card I finally came up with.

"Saturday's Showcase"...A very special card.

I am very excited to 'Showcase' a very special card for you to enjoy today!

One of the gals who has been attending my monthly stamping classes lately, has discovered she loves to stamp.  Although she has only recently been introduced to rubber stamping (and Stampin'Up!)...
she is learning by leaps and bounds...card by card!

So, today, I'm featuring one of the first cards she made...on her very own...using some of the Sale-A-Bration items she got for FREE, with her last order.  With limited supplies, she created this adorable card!

Sneek Peek of Swap Card...

Here is a photo of one of the cards I made to 'swap'.
I used a very simple layout, but gave it lots of dimension...with textured embossing and stitched ribbon.

I used Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder on Whisper White card stock and ran it through my Big Shot. The greeting is from one of my favorite stamp sets...Sincere Salutations

Marina Mist card stock (for the base) and a marker, plus a Blushing Bride marker and matching ribbon and some snail glue...were the only other things I needed to complete a really fun and cheerful card.

Why don't you try making your own card, using this layout and your favorite embossing folder...then send it to someone you love... brighten their day with a cheerful, handmade card!

Have a blessed day! - Micki
