Total Texture...

Here is a card that is actually very simple to make...but has loads of texture and character!

This card front was made from scraps I had left over from other projects.
(Yes, I save my scrap pieces of cardstock and DSP...and now you see why!)

The close-up photo (shown below) gives you a better view of the texture of the card front.

Try using up some of your own scraps to make your own textured card.
To make the card front, I used the following tools to achieve this look:
The Big Shot
Square Lattice Embossing folder
3/4 " circle punch
1 1/4" circle punch
Corner rounder punch

I punched out various circles from scraps of  Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake card stock...as well as circles from scraps of  Elegant Soiree DSP.    Or use what coordinating cardstock and paper scraps you have.

After arranging the circles in position...I sponged the edges and then glued the small circles onto big ones, and then glued each in place onto the 5 1/4  x  4" Very Vanilla piece of cardstock, using TomBo glue.

I then rounded my corners with the corner rounder punch, and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake.

Then I placed all this into my Square Lattice Embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot.
It came out ready to attach to my Baja Breeze card base.
I used Sticky Strip tape to attach it to base...to keep from flattening the embossed texture.

Stamp your greeting/verse on the inside of card, and you are done!

I hope you enjoyed this card and that you find the time to make your own version!  - Micki

I love the card! It came out great, I too save and use my scraps. They are perfect for when you need to add color, or punch out paper. TFS.
