"Live" butterflies on a handmade card!

That's right!  ..."live", fluttering butterflies...right on the front of a handmade card!

I actually caught these rare butterflies on video...as they sat on my card and fluttered their wings!
(OK,...so they only started fluttering after I gently blew on the card...but I did film their fluttering...)

These delicate, light-as-air, butterflies are actually a "secret type" of tissue paper.
(See the "secret" at bottom of page.)
I sponge dyed this "secret" tissue paper with Rich Razzleberry classic ink,
then embossed /cut it with the "Beautiful Wings" embosslits die and my Big Shot.

Would you like to know how to make a handmade card like this?

First you will need the following items:

white gel pen, snail adhesive, and a Paper Cutter for cutting cardstock...

...PLUS some of the "secret" tissue paper!

Repeatedly stamp your image on white cs ...using VersaMark ink. Emboss with clear embossing powder.
Sponge over each circle with Pretty in Pink ink. Center and stick to top of card base.  Set aside.

Sponge your 'secret' tissue paper with Rich Razzleberry ink, then emboss 6 butterflies.
Position and attach (two layers per butterfly) to card front by adding a thin strip of Tombo glue.
(Tip: Use a toothpick to apply glue...only along the underneath "belly"!
After glue dries...add white gel pen "pearls" to top of butterfly body.  Your done!

Now gently blow on front of card and watch your "live" butterflies flutter their wings!

The "secret" tissue paper?...
...it's the Jumbo "end wraps" professional beauty shops use for hair perms.
 One small box contains 1000 sheets...each sheet is 2 1/2" x 4" in size.

Hope you enjoyed learning how to make a handmade card!
Keep stamping!  - Micki
