Chalk it up to experimenting...

I experimented with Stampin' Pastels (chalks)...and I like how it turned out!
I haven't used my chalks for ages and decided to pull them out and experiment.

The stamped image is from the stamp set called, Happiness Shared...and I used VersaMark ink pad to stamp the image...and the Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery chalks in the Stampin' Pastels set.

I used the VersaMark pad to ink up my stamp...and then used my chalks to "color" my image in two different colors, then placed it in the Tulip embossing folder and ran it through the Big Shot.

Here is a close up of the embossed boarder...

Just beautiful. I haven't used my chalks in forever. Love how this came out. Guess I had better pull them out and give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration.

Very elegant! I'm also in the same boat, haven't used my chalks for months. I will have to give them some love this weekend.

This card is gorgeous. It was an instant hit to my eye - so soft and sweet. I think I must be on the verge of using my chalks as I watched a video last night ON MY NEW IPAD2 with regards to chalks. thanks for blessing my day and inspiring my art. :) (Hope you don't mind that I shouted to the world on your blog about MY NEW IPAD2) Now I've done it again. :)))))))

I love this technique. It is called Poppin Pastels. I just love the extra effect that it gives. The card turned out great and that tulip border, I am in love with. It is definitely being ordered this month. I have seen way to many cute cards with it to let it slip by. TFS!

WOW! Love the flower, soft and pretty. The Ribbon corners is such a nice accent. Great Job.

This card is so lovely. You did a great job with the pastels. I never have any luck with pastels. I guess practice makes perfect.

Gorgeous effect with the pastels! You have inspired me to dust them off and give it a try. I always seem to forget about them. Beautifl job on this one! :)
